Myofascial Lymphatic Massage Therapy

The lymphatic system works as a transport which helps the body maintain fluid balance by carrying excess water, protein, and large molecules from the space between our cells (interstitial space) to the blood. The lymph nodes act in the system to stimulate an immune responses to infection, produce antibodies, filter debris, foreign material, and abnormal cells. The lymphatic system is an integral part of our health and wellness.

Lymphedema is defined as an excess accumulation of lymphatic fluid that causes swelling. This most often affects the arms and legs. Lymphedema can develop when components of the lymphatic system are missing, impaired, damaged or removed through surgery.

Our Myofascial and Lymphatic therapy is a gently and relaxing technique. We accomplish this by moving through the muscle belly releasing the toxins (anything foreign to the area) into the lymphatic system to be properly drained. Often patients experience a difference after the first treatment, however, to accomplish maximum results requires multiple treatments based on the individual.
