Intersegmental Traction - Many spines have areas that are stiff and fixated. Intersegmental traction stretches and flexes the spinal joints. When indicated, we use intersegmental traction to make a spine more limber and flexible. It is frequently beneficial in conditions involving muscle spasms, disc problems, and restricted movement of the spine.

Interferential - Breaking the pain cycle is an important step in the healing process. Iterferential therapy uses small amounts of electrical current to block painful sensations without using drugs. Interferential can also be used to speed up healing, reduce swelling and muscle spasms,in addition to maintaining and strengthening muscle tissue.

PulStar - Is a modality that tests each vertebra by generating a gentle mechanical impulse (light tap) and uses a sensor in the impulse head to measure each vertebra's resistance to the impulse. Once a joint is determined to be fixated, the PulStar may also be used to help reduce fixation, relieve muscle spasm, and restore normal joint mobility. In some cases, a series of these treatments may be necessary to obtain maximum benefits. Precision and gentleness are the keynotes to the PulStar System's popularity and appeal.

Manipulation & Spinal Adjustments - When vertebrae are misaligned or even slightly out of place, the result can be diminished nerve function, leading to any of a host of illnesses or disorders. Gently adjusting or manipulating misaligned vertebrae back toward their normal position is the primary treatment in many cases. The adjusting tables are specially engineered to provide inertial release, which allows us to use "non-force" techniques that ease spinal vertebrae into place so quickly and easily that patients are usually surprised that the treatment is so soothing, pleasant and relaxing.

Trigger Point Therapy - Trigger points is a frequently overlooked and misunderstood source of many of the aches and pains which baffle mankind. A trigger point is an overly sensitive spot beneath the skin that is tender to the touch and can "trigger" pain or other symptoms into different parts of the body. Untreated, they may become more and more painful, and can lead to muscle degeneration with joint pain and stiffness.

Massage - Massage can be defined as the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body for therapeutic purposes. It uses a system of strokes that include gliding, kneading, friction, pressure, tapping and vibrating. In addition, massage therapists may engage in active and passive movements of the joints and instruct patients on exercises to achieve improved muscle tone, circulation and range of motion. Massage therapy aids in the healing process from injury or overuse, and is an excellent form of preventive health care. Its purpose is to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function and relieve pain. Massage therapy may also include myofascial and trigger point therapy. Massage therapy complements chiropractic care perfectly.

Inertial Axial Traction - The gentle lengthwise extension and stretching of the spine is called "axial traction" and has been used by physicians for thousands of years to help correct many spine and nerve problems. In our practice, we use a highly advanced system of intermittent motorized traction called inertial axial traction. Instead of using straps, pulleys and levers to stretch the spine, this system uses the forces of momentum and inertia to stretch the spine gently and rhythmically.
