How Massage Benefits Performers & Athletes: - Massage therapy is the manipulation of the superficial tissue of the body. All performers have experienced muscle tightening and muscle fatigue as a result of maximum effort or prolonged over activity. As performers this is inevitable, but not unalterable.
- Massage prior to a performance or athletic event; loosens, warms and readies the muscle for intensive use, especially when combined with stretching.
